This year’s high school theatre production was Pippin, a musical about self discovery, magic, rebellion, and so much more. The amazing and talented cast was able to encapsulate a traveling theatre cult through music, dance, and exciting drama. The Leading Player, played by Cami Kim, led Pippin along on his journey to find the meaning of life. But things took a turn at the end as Pippin, played by Gianmarco Di Pelino, was lured by his peers into being on the verge of jumping into a burning pit of lava to fulfil his purpose.

The show featured many musical numbers, from the fun and energetic opening song “Magic to Do” to the sad yet hopeful “I Guess I’ll Miss the Man” sung by Pippin’s lover Catherine (Julia Anbari). One highlight of the production was the dynamic sing-along to “No Time At All” led by Pippin's memorable grandmother Berthe (Abigail Starks) which cap-tivated the audience with its catchy theme. A special congratulations goes to the actor for Pippin
’s adopted son Theo, Maite Brill, who was the only middle schooler in this high school play but still delivered an incredible performance!
